      The other day i met a person on the train.A lady with her son.He must have been studying in his fourth or fifth grade! He sat there glum,looking at the passing trees and buildings outside,as the train advanced speed.

His mom was staring at the yellow card in her hand with a tense expression!

 Yes!!!! :) THEN I UNDERSTOOD THE WHOLE SITUATION!

The boy had taken his mom to his school's PARENT TEACHER MEETING !!

I would prefer it to be called as the most "horrifying childhood nightmare" for many children.

She turned and looked at him and started  her regular rebuking!!

" STUPID!!!AREN'T YOU ASHAMED OF YOURSELF?

YOU HAVE FAILED IN FOUR SUBJECTS AND YOU JUST MANAGED TO GET A MERE PASS MARK IN SCIENCE!

WHAT WILL OUR RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS THINK OF YOU? HOW WILL YOU FULFILL YOUR FATHER'S DREAMS!

REENA AUNTY'S SON ALSO STUDIES IN YOUR CLASS,BUT HE TOPS IN ALL SUBJECTS!

WHAT WILL SHE THINK OF YOU?

YOU FOOL!

YOUR NEVER GOING TO ACHEIVE A THING IN  YOUR LIFE! YOUR SIMPLY....GOOD FOR NOTHING! "

The boy's eyes welled up with tears! :(

I could not bear to see his lip trembling with sorrow.Though I wanted to talk to the lady about her bad behaviour with her son,I could not! My stop had come and I had to get down!

Sadly, looking at the boy crying, i got down the train. Ever since that incident,it has been stirring up my mind with various thoughts and questions!!

 WHAT IS TRUE INTELLIGENCE????

   This is a very common thing among parents.A child is expected of studying really well and score high marks.He is forced with other's dreams from a very young age.

Instead of finding his talent and passion and nurturing his creative and imaginative skills,he is burdened with heavy books from his kG classes.

  One thing i do not understand is,why a 4th grade boy has to bother about fulfilling his father's dream now!!!

I believe that responsibility comes with age.At his age he,should have been talking to his mom about his favourite cartoon channels or stories rather than worrying about his father's dreams.

I dont say that guiding a child for his proper growth is wrong! But watch your tongue!!Instead of shouting at him he could have been politely told by his mom ,why it was important for him to get good marks. He could have been caringly told what she expected of him and  encourage him.

But these days, many of us dont do this.This is not only the case of children,each of us have thier own bundle of worries according to our phase of life.If you are a student then your expected of performing really well in studies.If your an empoyee then your expected of  earning well and if you earn well you are expected of living a rich and luxurious life.Then your termed successful!!! But in this busy schedule,we forget to spend time with the rare and delicate blessings of our life - our loved ones!!!

Our life has become so mechanical that we dont have time even to say a "hi"  to our neighbor.Each one of us is tied up round the clock.As the clock strikes eight, each one of the family member runs in a direction to start their day.All of them return by evening eat and sleep and again the cycle repeats.

I do not blame anyone for this lifestyle. To strive in this competitive world we definitely  have to work hard!But the only thing i would want to remind you is that, make some time for yourself and your loved ones.Unleash your imagination and try to find your happiness amidst all these tie-up's!

Life is not a race! But its a celebration of love and care.It is an experiment of new experiences 

LIFE IS ABOUT BUILDING DREAMS ,NOT STRESS!

Find time to do what you like! Spend time with your family and friends and share your feelings.Laugh till your tummy hurts!You will find a solution of your worries!

The Diwali Trends

THE DIWALI SEASON!

The  Diwali season is back and every girl in the country will have started dreaming of updating their wardrobes with new trends. :) Some woman prefer the traditional mantra,ethnic wears whereas others prefer the indo-western mix of casuals and grandeur :)

For this season plain neon colored chiffon sarees are the best pick.Choose vibrant colors like blue,pink orange,purple and all the funky colors that accentuates your looks.

The mannequin sports a bright electric blue chiffon saree with ready made blouse with gold embroidery and plain gold zari work :)

Ladies with a good height and a curvy body can opt this look with light ranged bronze toned makeup and black glimmering stilettos.

If you are not the chiffon and designer type woman,then you can obviously choose from a wide range of silk sarees and throne the "traditional queen look".

Choose colors like blue, yellow,orange,green,maroon, magenta and red.You can drape the saree with single fleet or you can wear it with multiple fleets.These traditional beauties can make any head turn on you.

 Do not wear heavy accessories for silk sarees :) Come on :P Its not your wedding! Is it?

You can wear single dollar ornaments and big jhumka's with it.

You could keep it simple like Sneha's orange silk saree with maroon designer blouse.She has adorned a simple long gold necklace with traditional pearl jhumkas. She looks dashing isn't it? :)

As far as the makeup is concerned, go for light makeup with coral or pink lipsticks and shimmer type eye shades.Remember,do not put thick eyeliners for traditional sarees! You would look like you have come for some bharatnatyam dance competition :)But you can always choose your preferences .You may Apply eyeliner on the borders of your eye lids and you can brighten it up with shades, mascara and kajal :)

When it comes to color selection,many friends of mine "flinch" and say a big "NO" to bright colors!! Especially my dusky friends.They feel it  makes them look even more dark.The truth is "not really",if you dress up well.

The greatest boon for all those dusky beauties, is their skin color.It has such a beautiful tone and texture that it tends to give you a glowy look :) Now, Imagine yourself in the diwali lights!!! Gorgeous isn't it?

If your a dusky beauty,avoid those sober and dull colors.It is not going to accentuate your color but make you seem a lot more duller!

Bipasha Basu the bollywood dusky damsel looks fabulous in her bright red and black silk saree. The bengali beauty has worn a simple red tribal necklace and a silver "kada"bangle in her hand.This look makes her bright and sexy.

You can also opt for light colored designer silks like south Indian model Priya Anand. She is yet another dusky darling who looks dashing in bright as well as sober colors.In this picture she has draped a simple light colored coral designer silk with a simple pendant set and light shade makeup.Loose hair can always work for sarees. With Just a little serum ,set your hair to one side of your shoulder and "äbracadabra"! You are ready with a sexy look. You can also do different hair dos with sarees like side buns,french plaits and side plaits depending upon your preferences.

MAKEUP

You can use shimmer type metal shade makeups for diwali ,as it will dazzle and give you a good glow at night.You can use shades of plums,reds,orange and pinks for the lips and put a light lip gloss only at the center part of the lower and upper lip.It will give u a glimmer and a fuller look.If you don't want a glossy appearance you can use matte makeup shades.

WHAT IF AM NOT THE SAREE PERSON?

Here comes your part! You don't want to wear the six meter long cloth!! No worries,you cant choose between a wide range of Anarkali suits, Floor length Anarkali suits,lehenga cholis,Ghagra cholis, and pavadas.

The floor length Anarkali suits are ruling the market this season. If ur a tall beauty with curvy assets,this is your stuff!Go for bright electric blues, sunshine yellow, perfect pinks to light shades of colors like olive greens, sky blues.

Not satisfied with the color palette!! This season even metal colors are in the lime light!You can also go for bollywood cutie pie Parineeti chopra's looks in her  silky bronze floor length Anarkali suits.

Her waist tight Manish Malhotra Anarkali  with bright pink and black looks so gorgeous that she had been on cover magezines for a quite a long time.She has kept it classic with no ornaments and shimmer makeup.

You can also choose colors like stunning black and angelic white with gold patterns.

Deepika padukone looks magnificent in her traditionally classy look in her high collared Stunning black Anarkali. She has beautifully tied her hair into a low bun and is wearing long black stone earrings which makes her look very pretty!
